Pr 8:34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.
I was sitting in our porch swing one afternoon when I had a vision. I could see words and musical notes floating around in the air. I asked God what it meant. What He spoke into my heart was that He had already created everything. Everything we need to know, say, do or think was already there. We just needed to listen, watch and wait for Him to quicken it in us. So few of us take much quiet time to be with our God. When we do take time be with Him, we are usually doing all the talking, asking Him for things, telling Him how we feel and a little time praising Him and thanking Him. The old adage says God gave us 2 ears and only 1 mouth. This adage applies to our communion with God as well as with others. If you don’t think you can hear from God, start with the Bible. Read some verses then be quiet and listen. Write down what the verses say to you. As with learning any language, you must learn to recognize the words. God speaks quietly into our inner being. Lets be sure we spend more time listening and less time doing the talking.
