Housetops

Matthew 10:27
27 What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light, and what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.

I hope each of us took time over the holiday season to talk with and listen to God.  Maybe you’re not sure how He wants to work through you this new year of 2012.  When in doubt of what we hear we go to God’s written wore–the Bible.  This verse in Matthew applies to each one of us.  We are to proclaim the good news of God.  Matthew says to proclaim it from the housetops. That doesn’t mean we need to climb up on our roofs.  We are to proclaim God with firm and full voices, publicly.  We are not to keep His words and blessings to ourselves.  We’ve been greeting and/or leaving people with “Merry Christmas” then “Happy New Year.”. Now let us develop the habit of leaving by saying God bless you.  That will sometimes open doors to share the way to walk into God’s door through His Son Jesus.
