Trusting You, I now can do

With all my heart and mind

I need no longer understand

The paths You put me on

But trusting You with those I love

Is something I yet lack

Although I know You love them more

And will not turn Your back

Help me, Lord, trust You more

With children dear to me

As I pray, remind me, Lord

You love them more than me

Help me not insist You work

The way I think You should

Lord I thank You that You love them

Much more than I every could.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding

I have learned to trust God by walking through the fiery furnace of life.  He has always been faithful to my every need.  He has brought me through the valley of the shadow of death and up on the top of the highest mountain many times.  It is now a natural choice to trust Him with all that happens in my life.  Trusting God with all that happens in the lives of my children is much harder.  It hurts deeply to watch my children suffer through their problems.  It’s hard not to give them my own solutions.  My head knows God has each of them in the palm of His hand.  They each know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  I force myself to choose to trust God with their lives.  I choose to believe He will bless them through the valleys of the shadow of death and up on the tops of the highest mountains just as He has me.  I love my children and want for them the relationship I have with my Lord.  With continued practice, my trust of God with my children will become more natural.

Lord, I thank You for the privilege of raising such beautiful children.  I know they belong to You and I trust Your best for each of them.  Help me resist the temptations to take them back into my own hands.
