Isa 44:24

“This is what the Lord says– your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself,

Today is my birthday and I marvel at the path God has walked with me.  Though I was raised to go to church, I didn’t really know Jesus as my Lord and Savior until my mid 30’s.  He has seen me through serious illnesses, cancer, and heart problems from the chemo and radiation, low times and high times.  He has blessed me with children and many grandchildren.  He has blessed me with His gift of preaching and teaching others to grow in Him.  Through the valleys and mountains, He has continued to draw me ever closer to Him.  I seldom reflect on the past for He has taught me to live in the moment.  I don’t worry about the future because I know that is securely in His hands.  I praise Him for the people He has put in my life.  I have a dear friend who is 108 years old.  She has shared many things with me.  The one, which had the most impact, was, “A day without learning something new about my Lord is a day wasted.”  That one sentence continues to motivate me to continue into the Scriptures and my prayer times with God.  It is so true, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” Psa. 42:1

I have a passion to continually be aware of my God’s presence with me.  He is the Source of the ever full, abundant life I have and continue to live.  Thank You, God.  My prayer is for you to experience such passion for our God.
