He Is Alive

Jhn 20:14-16

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.  “Woman,” he said, “why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”  Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher).

Mary did not expect to see Jesus alive again.  Therefore, when she looked at Him, she did not recognize Him.  But, when He said her name, she recognized His voice.  That is so true of us today.  There are many times we could see Jesus, in faces of believers, in nature, but we are not expecting to see Him so we miss Him.  It is sad that so many even miss Him when He calls.  They do not know the sound of His voice.  He said His sheep hear His voice and know it.  Start with hearing Him through Scripture, the Holy Bible.  Then, when you pray, practice listening and writing what you hear.  Gradually you will hear His voice and, with practice, will be able to recognize Him more quickly.

Have a Happy Easter and tell someone Jesus is alive.
