His Name’s Sake

Ps 79:9 Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.

God’s name sake is Jesus, His Son, who died on the cross in our place so God could forgive our sins.  Our sins are forgiven for the glory of the name of Jesus.  Our cry should be for Him to help us stay in Him and out of sin.  Sin is anything that separates us from God.  God cannot be in the presence of sin so, when we sin, we separate ourselves from God’s presence.  Ask God to help you stay in His presence.
