Abigal

1Sam 25:24 She fell at his feet and said: “My lord, let the blame be on me alone. Please let your servant speak to you; hear what your servant has to say.

Abigail.  Once again, you should get out our Bibles and read the entire story in 1 Samuel chapter.  Abigail was married to Nabal whose name means fool.  Evidently the meaning of his name matched the character of the man.  David’s men protected Nabal from the wages of war.  Later, when David’s men needed some supplies, Nabal said harsh words and refused them.  Abigail used her wisdom and humbly stood between her husband and David and asked to take the blame and provided all that David needed for his men.  Not only was she standing in for her husband, protecting him, she was also protecting all they had.  That made Nabal mad.  In a short time he died.  God does the judging.  David, hearing about the death of Nabal took Abigal as his wife.  God does reward the just.

If you live with someone who is difficult, do you react as Abigal, in a humble or righteous manner or do you get into arguments with them.  Lets pray to be more like Abigal in difficult situations with difficult people.
