Noah’s Wife

Ge 7:7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

Noah’s wife is not named in the Bible.  We just know her as “Mrs. Noah.”  I can’t imagine what she must have been through.  Having a husband who said God told him to build a big boat a long way from any body of water and listing to the town’s people make fun of him must have been hard to bear.  Then living on the ark with all the animals.  Imagine the smell and the work involved.  What joy she must have felt when the door of the ark opened and she watched the animals leave.

Many times we become in something not of our choosing.  It might be through our spouse or through our children or some other way.  Perhaps our church decides to start a new ministry and suddenly we find we are expected to take part.  Our response is up to us.  We can respond cheerfully and help and encourage or we can be critical and complainers.  God calls us to serve in all He puts in front of us.  Let’s serve Him with glad and thankful
