Children Astray

Pr 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

I have heard so many parents ask the question, “How old do they have to get before they don’t turn from it?” I cannot answer that. I have searched the Bible and it doesn’t say. All I can recommend is prayer, trust in God’s promise and keep your adult children released to God for His knowledge of what is best to set them back on His way for them. Yes, it would be nice to be around and see them come back but we need to realize that they can only come back to God’s way for them, not the way we envision it. So, parents of small children, be sure you raise them in the way they should go (knowing, loving, worshiping, trusting, serving Him as your teaching and example show). Parents of adult children, remember God is faithful to your prayers. Continue to be the example to your adult children and to your grandchildren and hold each one up before the throne of grace of God. God is faithful.
