Psalm 100 A psalm. For giving thanks. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he, who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations

This is a very busy time of year and sometimes it is hard to remember to take time to give thanks. Psalms 100 is a very good prayer to memorize, read, or sing. Read it over in quiet and really consider what it says we are to do and how we are to do it. I have found nothing to energize me as much as actually singing or calling out words of thanksgiving and praise to my Lord. It melts the problems and burdens I have forgotten to pass on to Him, relaxes my nerves and muscles, and replaces gladness for tiredness. Give it a try today.
