What Does God Want Us to Do?

So often we think we don’t know what God wants us to do.  We wait for a huge word, a difficult task or something out of our norm.  We are slow learners.  The Holy Bible, God’s Word to us, is full of commands of action for us.  We so often take them as suggestions rather than commands from a Holy God Who has complete power and authority over us.  Not knowing what God wants us to do is based on either not knowing what’s in the Holy Bible or not wanting to do what is there but preferring, instead to be called to something really big by our standards.  Some of the things God says for us to do are:   Love one another just as He loves us – John 15:12  Devote ourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving, Colossians 4:2  Trust in the Lord with all our hearts and do not learn on our own understanding.  In all our ways acknowledge Him and He will make our paths straight  Proverbs 3:5-6

I believe you get the idea.  Get into God’s Word.  Obey the little things He says to do.  If we can’t obey the little things there is no way we can obey things that might be out of what we consider, ordinary.
