Effective Prayer

Jas 1:6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer.  So many times many feel their prayers are not heard or at least not answered.  There are things that can stand in the way of effective prayers.  The first is doubt.  We either believe God or we don’t.  We cannot be selective in our times of belief.  We cannot let our faith we swayed by how we feel or the circumstances we face.  God is always faithful, regardless of how we feel or what we face.  God always hears and answers a true believer.

Another problem is our hearts.  Are we being obedient to God’s commands?  He tells us we are to love each other and be at peace with each other.  Are we holding something against someone?  There can be no unforgiveness in our hearts for effective prayer.
