Lord’s Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

(taken from my sermon notes)

Our – Faith is not individual.  Coal by itself will soon die out.      Focus on relationships over results.   Can’t love God if you don’t love others.  Know disciples by love for each other.  Live in Grace and forgiveness.

Father –freedom from worry – Dad will fix it.  God is always there, loving, watching, protecting,

In Heaven- Spiritual realm is as real as the physical realm.  God is present in 3 dimensions as well as 4 dimensions – all dimensions     No limitations to or for God.  Cut back on distractions.  Develop a constant awareness of God’s presence.   Learn to be still, focus, wait and listen.

Hallowed be Thy Name. Honor God – the way you live and talk.  Complete surrender.  Body, mind/tongue and thoughts/spirit.   Don’t be complacent – lukewarm

Your Kingdom come.  Participate with fellow kingdom citizens.  Church, vespers, small groups.   Release your agenda for God’s plans.  Surrender your values for His plans.   Humble yourself – apart from God I am nothing

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Seek God’s will each day.  Choose His best over the good.  Don’t worry – God has the details – trust Him.    Drop expectations of yourself and others – love others.   Live in the present – not what was or might be.   Passion to do His will frees Him to work in and through us.

Give us this day our daily bread.  Daily feed the body and feed the mind and spirit on the bread of life.  God is faithful to supply all our needs (Matt 6:33)              Look or you’ll miss it.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive. Action not feelings.            Takes God’s grace.            Doesn’t condone but releases.  Grace is opposite of what we deserve.  Deserve judgment.  Receive forgiveness.  Measure or measure

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  Trials bring growth.  Recognize sins quickly and deal with them

Yours is the Kingdome, the power and glory for eve.              Pursue God not fame, riches, etc.  The smallest act in line with God’s live is huge for God.           Amen.  Yes, God.
