Clean Water

Eze 36:25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.

I have three verses of scripture I pray for several people every day.  My name is first on the list.  When I pray this verse I substitute my name for the words “you.”  Then I go back and substitute names of others in the same way.  We can never pray amiss when we pray scripture verses.  We can pray with assurance we are praying in God’s will.  We can pray with assurance that He hears and will cause it to come about.  I so much desire for God to continually sprinkle clean water on me, cleansing all my impurities that separate me from Him and cleansing all my idols.  Yes, we all have idols.  They may not be a golden calf but we do have them.  They may take the form of a TV show or over-involvement in a sport or other activity.  Anything we love more than God is an idol.  Over desire for promotions or money are very common idols.  Join me in praying this verse of scripture and allow God to show you your idols and remove them to their proper position in your life.
