Mt 18:20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
Heb 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
In youth group we gathered around a round table and, without using hands, blew a ping-pong ball trying not to let it go off the table around us. Each time the ball went off the table the person next to it stepped out of the game. The fewer the people, the more difficult the time to keep the ball on the table. There were several lessons learned from this game. One is, the more people gathered together for one cause, the easier it is to produce that cause. This is one reason why we come together to worship, praise and pray to our God. There is power in numbers. God said, “Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I Am in their midst.” Yes, we can worship, praise and pray to our God by ourselves but we need to come together on a regular basis with other believers. When we come together, we strengthen each other’s faith, we encourage each other, and we raise our worship and praise bolder through the worship and praise of others. Let us not avoid the assembling of the saints. Let’s come together as often as possible as a witness to others and as an encourager to others.
