Bird Nest

Ps 104:12 The birds of the air nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.

We have a trellis on our patio with climbing roses.  A mocking bird made her nest in the roses and has laid 5 eggs.  We have an old security camera which we mounted on the trellis and can watch the progress on our television.  It’s the best thing on our television.  Watching the creating progress God set in motion.  The bird is doing what she was created to do – make a nest, lay the eggs, incubate them and when hatched, feed the babies.  She is not concerned with storing food in a pantry.  She knows where to fly and catch her food.  God provides for her.  We can learn from the birds.  We spend so much of our time fretting about things. God created us to have fellowship with Him and with each other.  Yes, we have to work and build houses and care for things.  We have decided we need so very many things, which make us, have to work longer hours and spend more time caring for all our things.  It seems with the increasing accumulation of things we own our fellowship time with God and with each other decreases.  Life is about balance.  We are not all called to be in a monetary doing nothing but praying, but we are all called to have time to fellowship with our Creator.  What we must learn to do is make it a priority of our day – each and every day.  We always find time for what we love most.  The question: do we love God the most?
