The Lord’s Prayer 4

Mt 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

Mt 6:10 your kingdom come,

We’re at the words, “Your kingdom come.”  God’s kingdom is full of love.  We are asking for His kingdom to come within us.  Are we willing to put aside our hurts in forgiveness and love instead of being bitter, seeking retribution, etc.?  The love here is Agape love. It can but doesn’t necessarily involve the emotions.  It is a choice.  It is a desire for the best for someone.  God loves us that way.  He wants the best for us.  How much more should we want it for others?  It is our sin that cause God to sacrifice His only Son on the cross.  There is no greater love than that.  We need to pray every day (several times a day for me) for His kingdom of love to come into me and into this world.  It starts with me.  When His kingdom is within me it can be shared with those around me Father, we do ask for Your kingdom to come into our hearts, minds and into the world around us.
