Jer 20:7 O LORD, you deceived me, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me.

I enjoy the book of Jeremiah.  He was so real with his feelings.  He expressed his disappoints and all that was in his heart freely to God.  Yet, regardless of his feelings he remained obedient to God, speaking out what God told Him to speak.  I encourage you to take time to re-read this book.  There are a lot of parallels between Jeremiah and Jesus.  Some of these similarities are attested to in Matthew 16:14.  Both were on the earth during a time sin was running rampant.  Both were in a time worship of God had become cold and formal.  As you read the events during Jeremiah’s time think about what is occurring today in our time.  Once again you will find similarities.  The difference today is all believers have the power of God’s Holy Spirit within them and have the freedom to pray.  Let’s do our part to see God’s Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven – pray.

Let’s also be honest with what is in our heart with ourselves and with God.  He already knows but it’s good for us to know and recognize what we feel so God can work within us.
