It Takes Three

“It is expedient to you that I go: for if I go not, the Paraclete will not come to you: but if I go, I will send Him to you” (1 John 16.7).

It takes all three.  God the Father instructed His Son and sent Him to show us the way and die and rise to make eternal life with God the Father available.  The Holy Spirit was and is still sent to convict us of our sin and empower us to believe, trust and obey the instructions given and shown to us by Jesus, the Son.  Jesus could have stayed with us but then we could not have His Holy Spirit dwell within each of us.  The Holy Spirit’s office is of Intercessor, Consoler, and Teacher. We cannot approach God the Father without the call of the Holy Spirit and going through the blood of His Son, Jesus.  Jesus told us to address our prayers to God the Father.  He also said the Holy Spirit would pray through us, and when we can’t form the words, would pray for us.  We must know each part of the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit.  We cannot have one without the other.  Do you know each One of the God Head?   If not, invite Him into your mind, heart and life right now.  They all stand at your door but there is no doorknob on their side of the door.  You must open it yourself.  You will be blessed with all eternity in the presence of the God Head.
