Dt 4:1 Hear now, O Israel, the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you

Many of us have trouble relating the scripture in the Old Testament to our lives at this point and time.  Take this one for example.  God has promised we will dwell in His Kingdom.  He put conditions on that promise.  To know those conditions we must study the written Word He gave us – the Holy Bible.  God is just, God is love, God is compassionate, and God is merciful.  God is God.  He sets the rules and we are to obey them.  We obey not out of fear but out of love and devotion to God.  I look forward to going into His Kingdom.  In a way I already have because His Kingdom is already within me.  But there is also a real, physical place where I will be in His physical presence throughout eternity.  I’ve written about His word to Laodicea in Revelations 3 where He says they are neither hot nor cold but luke-warm and because of that He will spew them out of His mouth.  I want to take possession of all God has for me.  I want to be hot for God.  How about you?
