Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

Today is known as “Black Friday.”  I think that is an appropriate name since black is also the color for mourning.  Just observe how people react in the store on this day: pushing, shoving, grabbing, fighting over parking places and etc.  People seem consumed with what I call “meism.”  Granted much of what they are buying might be for other people but the emphasis is on self.  It’s good to save money – get the most you can for your dollar – but not at the expense of others.  Let us always remember to be aware of others around us – not just for our own safety but also for a blessing to others.  Let us be sure our actions and expressions show the peace and love of our God.  Let us do as the song says and “Pass It On” rather than grab it up.
