Ps 27:4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,

What are we asking for when we pray?  Do we ever ask and seek to dwell in God’s house?  We do not need wait until we leave this earth.  Because Jesus was born, lived on earth, died on the cross for our sins and rose to show us we, too, could live eternally, we are allowed to dwell in His house the moment we ask Jesus into our hearts and lives.  The reason we don’t always experience dwelling in His house all our days is e don’t seek it.  So many material things in this world distract us.  The Advent season is a good time to develop the habit of seeking God and learning to dwell with Him throughout each day.  If you seldom take the time to read devotion and some verses out of the Bible every day, hopefully you are starting by reading this.  These Advent devotions are only a starting place.  I only put one verse of the Bible in it.  Learn to take the time to read the verses before and after the one quoted.  Eventually you will desire to increase your devotional and meditation time to more and even more often in the day.  What a good way to start each day by getting up early enough to start it with God.  What a good way to end each day by ending it with God.  Let us seek after what He has already provided for us.
