Another important reason for leaving the past things done and undone is they won’t fit with the new. Old habits stifle and shrink the possibilities of new habits. Sometimes it is hard to be open to new things and new ways. It can be frustrating. Getting a new cell phone or computer requires patience and a learning curve. Walking into new ministries or places God would have us go requires patience and a learning curve as well. As we pray about the coming New Year and what God would have us doing we need to be open to totally new things. That doesn’t mean He would have us change all things but we must be open. Remember, we are each an important part in preparing the way for Jesus to return for us, bringing His Kingdom on earth.
