Luke 11:9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (The Holy Bible, New International Version)

When we find ourselves facing problems we often respond by complaining or stressing out. Jesus says we are to ask God, to seek the solution through God and to knock on the doors He shows us. When we come up to a door in life we often don’t knock on it (test it) to see if it’s open. Sometimes we just force it open and rush in. We’ve done that and learned from it the hard way. We must knock or test it to see if it is a door God is showing us or a diversionary door presented by the world. When we look to God for our direction we won’t have to force our way. God says our way will be opened for us. It does take action on our part. We have to pray and ask God for guidance. We have to be willing to listen and look. We have to be willing to step out. If you are facing a problem or decision today I encourage you to take time with God. Pray like Jesus taught the listen and trust God to provide the right direction or decision for you. Test the “door” presented and see if it is the right solution. If it is right you will find peace as you walk through that door. God doesn’t want His children to stumble through life or walk around aimlessly. He wants us to keep our paths straight toward Him. Sometimes He allows us the privilege of opening doors for others. Maybe today is the day you are being blessed to do that. Let us stay sensitive to God’s leading today.
