One Foound

Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (The Holy Bible, New International Version)

Luke 15:5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders (The Holy Bible, New International Version)

Jesus tells two parables, two stories pointing to a truth. In each parable something is lost then found. He is referring to the human race He created as being lost from Him. He said when one repents there is great rejoicing in heaven. He says when one is found it is joyfully accepted and put into the proper place. Our question is do we seek diligently for those who are lost. The shepherd left his comfort zone and his companions to find that lost sheep. The woman diligently cleaned until she found her coin. We, believers, have experience the joy in heaven when we came to know our Lord and Savior. We now are called to seek the lost and lead them into the way of everlasting life. Our question is what are we doing and do we really rejoice when we hear a new believer testify to God?
