Luke 12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear (The Holy Bible, New International Version)

It is so easy for us to worry. Jesus said there is nothing in our lives to cause us to worry. There is nothing we can change by the process of worrying other than changing good health to bad health. Worry doesn’t accomplish anything. I didn’t have much trouble replacing worry with faith when it came to my own life. I found it a lot more difficult (and still do at times) not worrying bout others who are near and dear to me. There are many times I go through the physical motions of lifting my fists up to God, opening my hands and reminding God that these dear ones are in His care. The time I would spend worrying I spend in intercessory prayer. We need not worry about our future because our future is in the hands of God. We cannot alter that by worry. We would do better to spend our worry time in praise time to God. Not only does it draw us closer to Him, it also brings more joy into our lives. As soon as we are aware of starting to worry about anything let’s immediately address God and let Him know we are thankful everything is under His control regardless of how it might look to us. I’ve read the last chapter and I know God is the Victor.
