Galatians 1:3-4 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father,

This is a common greeting in Paul’s letters.  Grace and peace are both something we all want.  Many seek after them by their own means but cannot find complete and lasting grace or peace.  Peace can only come through God Who is the creator of peace and only comes to us through God’s grace.  His grace came to us when His only Son came into our world in the same manner in which we live to demonstrate God’s grace and peace.  Paul’s greeting is a prayer for each one of us to come under God’s grace through Jesus and experience His deep, everlasting peace.  This peace is the measurement of our walk with God.  As sinful creations we tend to slip in and out of peace.  This is from our choices to look elsewhere and away from God.  When we find peace is absent we need to confess our diversion to God and ask Him to fill us anew with His Holy Spirit Which empowers us to keep our focus on God.  As with everything we think, do or say, the choice is ours.  Our question is where do we want our focus.
