Jesus in Traffic

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.

Have you notice every time you re-read a verse its meaning takes on a larger scope?  As I was driving in very unfamiliar and heavy traffic this verse came to me.  I observed people tail-gating closer than safe for fear another car might cut in front of them and delay them by a couple of seconds.  I even found my own attitude causing me irritation when someone cut in front of me then continued very slowly.  Then this verse came to me.  My attitude was not one of patience or kindness.  If I am going to follow Jesus I must follow Him in all areas of my life. This includes the way I drive.  I found myself giving more space between my car and the one in front of me and slowing down to let people change lanes or enter the lane.  As I did that the feeling of God’s peace and love washed over me.  I even got to my destination in the normal amount of time.  Our question is does our driving reflect the patience and love and kindness of Jesus?  Be honest now.
