Genesis 15:6  Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord considered his response of faith as proof of genuine loyalty.

What a wonderful thing to be known for – faith in God.  This is our first priority – to believe God, to have faith in Him.  This must come before relationship can happen.  Without belief in God, without faith in God, there can be no worship, praise, prayer, fellowship, joy, peace or an abundant life.  God created us for fellowship with Him.  Real fellowship is based on faith/belief. God does not consider our prayers or fellowship or worship without our belief/faith in Him.  God sees into our hearts and minds and knows if we truly believe.  How do we believe?  Belief comes and deepens by hearing God’s Word and seeing God’s works.  We can keep our eyes on man and see all that man ‘has done” or we can open our eyes and see what God has done and what He has enabled man to do.  When we believe we will choose to obey because we have faith in the One we believe.  Our question is does our obedience to God show real belief?  Let us choose to deepen our faith/belief in God through the hearing of His Word and the seeing of His works.  Let us keep our eyes, ears, hearts and minds open to Him.
