2 Corinthians 13:11  Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, set things right, be encouraged, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Many versions say “be of one mind” instead of “agree with one another.  They both mean the same things.  So many churches split, so many people go “church hopping” because others have a different view them they have.  In some hearts and minds there is no room for varied ideas or opinions.  When Paul wrote for us to be of one mind or to agree he was not saying we couldn’t have different opinions or ideas or viewpoints.  He was saying we all agree to seek and serve God through Jesus, His Son.  We are all different parts of His Body and are expected to function and see things in different ways according to the Holly Spirit’s work in each of us.  We can live together, work together and worship together with out all looking, thinking, sounding and working the same.  The things we disagree about are minute in comparison to eternity to the fundamental belief, worship and obedience to God.  Our question is will we choose to live in love and peace with all believers or will we disobedient to God and petty in our relationships with others and seek our own way?  As with most things, the choice is ours.
