Mark 5:36  But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

Jesus said we are to believe.  When we hear things that don’t agree with God’s Word, we are to pay no attention but just to believe.  When we see things that don’t agree with His Word, we are to believe.  How do we know we are believing?  Are we worried about anything?  Are we stressed out?  We must ask as children of the Living God what is there to fear?  We have the assurance of eternal life in the very presence of God.  He says nothing can separate us from His love as long as we believe.  Belief is a choice.  We can choose to listen to others or to circumstance or we can choose to believe God.  Job is a good example of belief.  He faced loosing health, family, home finances yet he said, (Job 13:15  KJV)  Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”  Did Job feel like trusting God?  I doubt it.  Weather we feel like it or not, we are to trust God in all things.  He is faithful.  He loves us more than we can ever understand.  We have absolutely nothing to fear or worry about.  He is God Almighty and His will always prevails.
