Psalms 59:9. You are my source of strength! I will wait for you!
For God is my refuge.

We tend to see our homes as a refuge.  Some see their place of work as a refuge.  When storms of nature comes and loss to our homes or places of work occur, if these are our refuge we become fearful and distressed.  God says our refuge is in Him.  He is the only One Who never changes and never leaves.  When we look to Him as our refuge we look to constant love and peace.  We have the promise of eternity with Him.   We have the promise He will never leave us.  We have the promise He will give us wisdom if we ask for it.  Losing things we own on this earth are temporary  With time all things can be replaced.  Our love in God, our refuge in the One Who loves us and is in control of all around us is always with us.  Why do we have to walk through the storms of this earth?  Losing material things show us where our hearts are?  Losing material things show us where we put our hope and our love.  Our question is do we love God for His material blessings or do we love God  because He loves us and gave His Son for us so we could have the blessings of the love of a Father for His child and a child for the Father?  Let us be thankful for God and contented with whatever He allows to come our way   Let us continue to pray for those walking through material loss that they will seek and find the love of God in their lives as they rebuild their material possessions.
