Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God created the earth and all that is in it.  We are only here as guest in His creation.  Some of us act as squatters.  When a squatter has been in one place for long enough he/she begins to thing they own it.  We do not own the earth or anything in it.  God allows us to live here as stewards of His creation.  Our question is what kind of steward are we?  Do we use the resources respectfully?  Do we recycle when we are finished with a product or its container?  Do we waste energy with unnecessary usage or over usage?  When we stop to realize that all we think we have or should have actually belongs to God it can and should change our thinking and our usage of what He has put into our care.  Being good stewards of all that is in our care may not be a law but it is our responsibility as part of God’s family.  We are not only stewards of what man, in his thinking, as made but of all things in and on this earth.  Let us thank God for His trust in us as stewards and let us make sure He says, “Well done.” when we see Him face to face.
