Luke 2:36   There was also a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old, having been married to her husband for seven years until his death.

Once again a very old person in the temple sees the baby Jesus and comes up to Him.  Anna has been in the temple ever since her husband died when they were both young.  She spent her time praising and worshiping God.  When she saw Jesus she knew He was the promised Messiah.  Like many women she could not keep her mouth shut.  She started praising God and telling al who would listen that the Messiah has now come.  She was probably our first evangelist.  Our question is have we recognized our Messiah, Jesus, the Son of the Living God, has come?  Do we praise and rejoice and worship God for Him?  Do we open our mouths to tell others He has come?  Are we ready for Him to return to take us Home with Him?  Will we know Him when He returns?  Without receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior and walking in obedience to what He has told us to do in the written word of God, The Holy Bible, we cannot know Him and will not recognize Him.  When we invite Him into our hearts, minds and lives we receive His Holy Spirit and will hear Him, recognize Him, desire to walk in obedience to God and open our mouths to tell others of His coming and His future return for us.  This is the best news for all time.  Let’s live it and spread it.
