Matthew 2:22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there.

Joseph and Mary stayed in Egypt until Herod died.  After Herod’s death they decided they could return to Judea but when they heard Herod’s son, Archelaus, took his father’s place on the throne they were afraid.  Joseph had another dream warning him to stay out of Judea so he took his family to Galilee to a town called Nazareth.  This fulfilled yet another prophecy about Jesus.  God uses various means to guide us.  Many times it is through the circumstances around us.  We might think things in our lives are just coincidental but for God’s children nothing is coincidental.  He says all things work for the good for those who know Him and love Him.  Our question is do we trust Him enough to see all things, including the unpleasant ones, as first passing through His hands?  If we do, do we follow through by asking Him what to do in those circumstances?  Through James God says if we ask for wisdom He will give it to us.  As we walk through this season let us not only ask for wisdom in our steps but also trust He has provided it and walk in it.  Our safeguard in checking out our actions is God will never tell us to do anything that contradicts what He tells us in His written word, The Holy Bible.  Let us not get too busy in our days to read and meditate on His written word.
