In God’s Sight

Ephesians 1:4. For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.

When God looks at us He either sees us covered in sin or unblemished.  It is our choice.  God sent His Son, Jesus, to show us His love and how to live and love so we could believe, accept Jesus into our lives, hearts and minds and be free from the darkness of sin.  When God looks at a believer in Christ Jesus He sees the sinless, unblemished covering of His Son rather than our sins.  As long as we are in our flesh and blood bodies we cannot be sinless.  I know I sin in thought, word and deed several times a day but these are covered by Jesus and from the sight of God when I recognize and confess them.  They are then forgotten.  We must be careful not to continually try to resurrect our past sins.  Once we have confessed and been forgiven we must use our time moving forward in the knowledge of forgiveness and love of God.
