Showing Love

John 12:3. Then Mary took three quarters of a pound of expensive aromatic oil from pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus. She then wiped his feet dry with her hair. (Now the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfumed oil.)

I really like Mary.  She was spontaneous to express her feelings.  She didn’t understand what her actions were symbolizing.  She was just showing her love and thankfulness.  In actuality she was anointing Jesus for His burial.  We can learn from her open display of love and thankfulness. How often do we let others see our love and thankfulness to God?  We can show it through our speech and our actions.  Many times I have kept my mouth silent when I could have given verbal thanks and praise to God.  It comes down to caring more about what others in this world think of me more than what I think of and feel for God.  Our question is are we willing to let others see our love and thankfulness to God regardless of how they judge our actions?.
