Not Idle

Acts 1:9-11. After a he had said this, while they were watching, he was lifted up and a cloud hid him from their sight. As they were still staring into the sky while he was going, suddenly two men in white clothing stood near them and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.”

Their mouths must have dropped open as the watched Jesus ascend up through the clouds.  Quite often when we see something that’s hard to believe we just stand and stare.   The angels came to tell assure them He would return, not as He first came as a baby, but just like He just left them through the clouds.  We have the same assurance.  Jesus is coming to gather together His Bride, the Church of believers and followers.  We are not to stand idle.  We are to follow the example Jesus gave us in being about the Father’s business.  Our question is are we following His example?
