Meeting Needs

Acts 3:6. But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk!”

Sometimes we think if we had something different or if we had more money we could help others.  Peter didn’t have any money.  If he did he probably would have tossed a coin to that man and continue on his way without another thought.  What Peter had was a willingness to share what God would do through Him.  He shared the power of Jesus and that man was healed.  God gives us everything we need to minister in His name through the power of His Holy Spirit.  Our question is are we willing to open our eyes to the true needs around us and our minds and hearts to the leading and power of God.  Peter and John went to the temple often and passed that man every time.  We don’t know how many times it took for God to get Peter’s attention but He finally did and Peter responded.  We need to ask God what needs around us He wants to satisfy and how He wants to meet them through us.
