1 Thessalonians 5:11. Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, just as you are in fact doing.

We are so good with criticizing and finding fault with others. We do this mostly to feel better about our own lacks ans faults. Here we are told to encourage one another. When we are encouraged we feel stronger. Encouragement gives us confidence. There are enough temptations and evil in the world to face. Encouragement gives us incentive to keep on keeping on. Encouragement can come in many forms. A smile given at the right time, a nod of the head and even two simple words like “than you” can give encouragement to another. it takes confidence in ourselves to be willing to encourage someone else. Our question is are we willing to encourage someone else to feel good, do well, be happy or be successful? We are not in a competition to do better or be better than others. We are on a team, God’s team. Team players know how important each player is and give each other encouragement. Let us be team players for God’s team. Let us encourage one another to walk in obedience and share the light and love of God.
