Hebrews 10:22. let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings, because we have had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

The word “near” applies to distance or time. Since God is always present the issue is not Hos nearness to us. The issue is our experiences of His presence. The more we experience His presence the “nearer” we feel (are aware) to God. Moses experienced God’s presence and his face reflected some of the glory of God. Our question is what do our faces reflect? We had a retired missionary in our circle of friends. We gradually forgot his given name because his face reflected the glory of God that we called him Moses. This was because of his many years of experiencing (being very aware) of God’s presence with him. Let us more than believe and obey. Let us experience in full awareness.
