Luke 9:62. Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Seeds can.’t grow in soil not plowed. The soil must be stirred up for the seeds to take root. When plowing one must have a guide mark in front to set the rows straight. Without looking in front the plow can wander off direction and there will be many gaps in the plowing. The goal is always in front, never behind. Today plows have GPS to keep them on course. The plower must keep his eyes on the GPS to keep from wandering off course. We must be plowed to grow spiritually. Our hearts and minds must have old thoughts broken and stirred up to be open to the seed of new thoughts. If we keep looking back to our old ways of thinking we will stray off course. We are blessed with a GPS. It is God’s written word, the Holy Bible. In it we will find all the directions we need to stay on course. Our question is will we look to our GPS or keep looking back to our old ways? Let us allow the Holy Spirit to guide our plow while planting the seeds of God’s word deep in our soil.
