Genesis 22:3. Early in the morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took two of his young servants with him, along with his son Isaac. When he had cut the wood for the burnt offering, he started out for the place God had spoken to him about.

God told Abraham to do something he didn’t understand nor did he want to do. Yet Abraham got up early in the morning and made the necessary preparations to do as God instructed. Our question is how quickly do we obey God’s word to us? We read a scripture or hear something in prayer but get easily distracted, putting off what we heard until it’s forgotten. We agree to pray for someone but don’t do it right away and soon the request is out of our mind. We are told to witness but find excuses to keep silent. Let us kep our priorities straight. Follow God’s bidding first before all else.
