Mind and Spirit

1 Corinthians 14:15. What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also.

Paul is talking about God’s Holy Spirit within him. We are to pray what is on our mind but we are to filter it through God’s Holy Spirit dwelling in us. In Luke 18:11-13 are 2 examples of prayer. The first, the Pharisee is praying from his mind. His mind is evidently full of self. He doesn’t ask for anything nor pray for anemone. He just boasts of how much better he is than anyone else. The tax collector prays acknowledging who he is in comparison to Who God is and asks forbHod’s mercy. Our question is what is our attitude when we pray?
