God’s Presence

Exodus 34:33. And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.

Moses did not veil his face because it was too bright to look at. He veiled it because he knew the brightness would dim day by day. He didn’t want the people to think God had abandoned him. We live in a sinful world with many distractions. We go in and out of the realization of God’s presence with us. Our faces gets veiled by these distractions. Moses would unveil his face each time he would be in God’s presence and get a new glory on his face. We too, when we come into God’s presence in prayer, meditation, Bible reading, worship and praise get a new dose of glory. The question is how much time do we allow between being in His presence? Actually God is always present. It is us who repeadly withdraw from His presence.
