Psalms 130:5. I rely on the Lord, I rely on him with my whole being; I wait for his assuring word.

To rely on someone it means you have full trust and confidence in their discretion. To wait on an assuring word means you are waiting on a word that erases whatever doubts or fears remain even though you have chosen to rely on that person. Our question is do we really rely on God and do we wait and listen to His assuring word? If we are anxious, worried or fearful we are not relying on God. We have been taught we are in control but in reality the only control we have is our choice to rely on the only one who is able to control or change anything. David relied on God for protection from Saul. David had an opportunity to kill Saul but chose to rely on God. We must examine ourselves to see if we are really relying on God. We rely with our entire being; heart, mind and emotions. Let’s be honest and ask God’s Holy Spirit to bring His assuring words through scripture and meditation to erase doubts and bring full reliance
