Daily Bread

Matthew 6:11. Give us today our daily bread,

God is our Source for everything. When we ask for our daily bread we not only ask for the physical food our bodies need, we also ask for the economic funds we need and for our spiritual food we need. Jesus, God’s only begotten Son, said He is the bread of life. We are to eat of Him. We do this through reading, studying and meditating on the Holy Bible, through coming together with other believers in worship and learning, through times spent in talking to God through prayer. Our question is are we eating all of our daily bread? Just like we don’t get more on our dinner plates until we eat what we already have, God won’t give us more until we eat and use what He has already given us. Let us eat from all God gives us for our physical and spiritual needs and growth.
