Nothing Hidden

Matthew 10:26. “Do not be afraid of them, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

When I was young in my faith and read this verse it scared me. I could visualize all my sins being on display for all to see. Now I understand sins confessed and forgiven are forgotten; they are under the blood of God’s Son, Jesus. What is really at point in this verse are the things hidden from us by God. He desires nothing of Him to be hidden from us. He gradually reveals more and more of Himself as we grow and are able to receive them. Our question is do we want to know more and more of our God? Revelations are not possible in the darkness os sin. We must be walking and living in the light of God to see more and more of Him. This is possible only by the infilling of God’s Holy Spirit. Let us be diligent in our confession, our meditations on His written word, our worship and our prayers and allow God to continually reveal more and more of Himself until the day we are fully with him and nothing is hidden.
