Living with Bears

Ephesians 4:2. with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

We all know someone who acts like a bear? We have people who irritate us. We have to interface with people we would rather not be around. We must remember they also have opinions about us and their opinions might be the same as ours. This verse tells us to “bear” with one another. We are to be humble. That means we are to recognize we aren’t any better than the next person. We are to be gentle. That means we are sensitive and kind in what we say and do. We are to be patient. Not everyone has the same timing as we do. All of this is to be done in love. Love for others is wanting God’s best for them. His best for them might come through us if we follow the dictates of this verse. Our question is where are we on this verse in our interaction with the bears and the irritating in our lives? Let us be willing to be humble and act and speak gently, patiently and in the love of God with all we meet.
