Gossip in Prayer

Proverbs 26:22. The words of a gossip are like delicious morsels; they go down into a persons innermost being.

We think we don’t gossip but listen to the prayer requests we make on behalf of others. Do we really need to know all the details of someone’s need to pray for them? This. Is a Christian form of gossip. God knows their needs, He knows their situation. All we need do is lift them up. Encore the throne of God. We need not and should not go into detail of their situation. It is enough to say physical healing, emotional healing, financial healing or spiritual healing. Those 4 categories cover all our needs and situations. Let us stop using prayer requests as our way of divulging the problems of others. We read in Proverbs 15:2 “The tongue of the wise treats knowledge correctly,
but the mouth of the fool spouts out folly.”
